Context
Shifu Ventures is a venture studio: five fractional CXO companies, co-building toward a hundred. When that positioning settled, the old site stopped matching it. Prateek owned the structure and the framing. I turned it into a design language.
The challenge
Version one was designed in Figma and built out by a Webflow agency. It looked right. But the positioning kept sharpening every couple of months, and every change had to go through the agency. The cost of changing the site was quietly capping how sharp the story could stay.
What I did
- We canceled the Webflow agency subscription. I pulled the site into code and rebuilt it myself. The theme was already locked, so the rebuild stayed clean.
- It is built end to end with AI, down to the small interactions and every hover, empty and loading state, so nothing on it feels half finished.
- What I shipped was minimal, tightly positioned, and cheap to change on the same day the story changed. Changes went live in just hours.
